I ordered some 1x1" honey onyx tile from this company. Both I and my customer were unhappy with the color.
I have set this type of onyx a couple of times before and it was a golden, honey color similat to the color Tilephile shows in the photo of this stuff on their web site. The tile I recieved did have some of the rich, golden color but it was generally too light and more of a vanilla color.
I have tried to contact them three times now - twice by direct email and once by using the contact form on their website. 3 weeks later I have not recieved a reply to any of my inquiries. My customer is fussy and not happy with the color and we couldn't get a response from tilephile so to keep the job moving forward we picked a different tile from another source and agreed to split the cost of the tile we could not use.
I won't blame tilephile entirely for this mess as I know that stone tile is not always cookie cutter exact like porcelain tile is when it comes to color or texture.
But I do think they have been an utter failure when it comes to following through with customer service.
You know, like a quick email or phone call might have been good.. Even if they said, "If you're looking for help from us, keeeeep lookin".
But nothing...

Meanwhile, is anyone interested some mostly vanila colored onyx? I have some here and will let it go cheaply..
